Apple Season, Holiday Gifts & Fabulous Fall at the Hut

Hey friends! Can you feel it? Fall is coming in and we could not be more excited about it. The air is getting that little crisp edge to it, the colors are starting to show off, and out here at Sugar Hill that means one thing — apple season has arrived. This is one of our very favorite times of year and we have so much good stuff to share with you this month!

Welcome to Apple Season 🍎

We just got our first apples of the season in and the kitchen is already buzzing. There is nothing quite like the smell of apples cooking down into something beautiful — and we make a lot of beautiful things with them.

Here's a look at what's coming off the stove this fall:

Also in the Hut this Fall

We also carry a line of instant drink mixes that make the coziest fall sipping — and great gifts too! Look for: Hot Spiced Apple Cider Mix, Hot Cocoa Mix, Rich Creamy Eggnog, Fireside Coffee Mix, Pumpkin Spiced Latte Mix, and Friendship Tea (aka Russian Tea).

Start Thinking About Holiday Gifts 🎁

I know, I know — it feels early. But here's the thing: our jams, butters, and preserves make the most wonderful gifts, and the fall flavors are some of the most popular we make all year. Once the holiday season hits, things move fast.

A homemade food gift is always appreciated. There's something so warm and personal about giving someone something made by hand, in small batches, with real ingredients. Whether you're thinking about teachers, neighbors, coworkers, hostess gifts, or stocking stuffers — we've got you covered.

Reach out to us at sugarhilljams@gmail.com or find us on Facebook to talk about gift options, custom orders, or putting together a basket. We love helping people find just the right thing.

Recipe of the Month: Touchdown Corn Dip 🏈

Recipe of the Month

Touchdown Corn Dip

Sugar Hill Jams Corn Relish jars with fresh corn

Football season and fall go hand in hand, and this dip is the perfect addition to any tailgate or watch party spread. Easy to make, impossible to stop eating. You'll need a jar of our Corn Relish to make it!

  • 1 jar Sugar Hill Jams Corn Relish, drained
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 small can green chili peppers, drained
  • 3 green onions, finely chopped (tops and bottoms)
  • 3 jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped
  • ½ green bell pepper, chopped

Mix everything together until well combined. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours so all those flavors can meld together — trust us, it's worth the wait.

Tortilla chips, Frito Scoops, or pita chips. Make a double batch if you're feeding a crowd — this one goes fast.

We are so grateful for each and every one of you. Fall is such a special season out here at the Hut and we love getting to share it with you. Come by, stock up, and start thinking about those holiday lists — we'll be right here making something delicious.
